FLORANES - CORTIJO DEL TÍO CAPOTE

A linear path offers breathtaking views of the valley, with a contrast of pine forests and farmhouses, and the mark of man in harmony with nature.

This trail is linear, so you should take into account when calculating the time that you have to return along the same path. This trail starts on a forest track that takes us to the Cerro Alonso pass. When we reach the Tío Capote farmhouse, we can contemplate a panoramic view of the Bodurria river valley in the background. In the farmhouse, you can still see the structure of the main house, corrals, threshing floor, hayloft and cultivation terraces. Walking down to the waters of the Bodurria stream along this path will allow us to contrast the pine forests on the heights with the pasture areas on the slopes dotted with farmhouses, and with the course of the stream itself, which meanders through this mountain range to the river Gallego. We will be surprised by the views, which are almost hidden in many sections and then appear in clearings like immense viewpoints. And also the mark of man, present in constructions based on the resources of each area to the point of blending in with the landscape and almost hiding them.
