LOS NEVEROS
It is a historical route that will bring us closer to the traces of 'los neveros', where we can relive the comings and goings of these mountain men through this natural pass that joins the alpine zone of the Sierra with the lower villages. Thus, accompanied by their stables, they took advantage of the summer to descend the ice formed during the winter in the snow pit in the upper part of the sierra, to the villages of Baza and Caniles. This path starts at the Collado de Clarín, just 3 kilometres above the recreational area of La Canaleja, in the direction of Prados del Rey. From the Collado it descends, without reaching the end, through the Barranco de la Fábrica del Rey ravine, so called because in its lower part there was a factory to obtain lead from the galenas of the Calar de Santa Bárbara.
