CAÑO VALERO

CAÑO VALERO

This lively neighborhood offers a unique blend of culture and community, featuring vibrant festivals and a historic route that attracts both locals and tourists

Although "Caño Valero" does not appear as a historical name in the registers of fountains, streets or old quarters of Baza, today it has become a place full of life and meaning. To stroll through its streets is to immerse oneself in a neighbourhood with its own personality, where every corner reflects the essence of the city. But Caño Valero is not just heritage: it is a vibrant social space, where neighbourhood festivals and celebrations bring together locals and visitors, keeping tradition and a sense of community alive. It also occupies a prominent place on the route of the Cascamorras, on the way to the Church of La Merced every 6 September, where an emblematic bath is held as part of this historic tradition.
