In the Plaza de la Trinidad was located the headquarters of the Real Sociedad de Amigos del País (in the Pósito) founded by Abbot Navarro, in it there is a fountain that maintains the historical location of the old one, with a statue in the centre with the bust of José Antonio Navarro, Abbot of Baza, better known in the city as Abbot Navarro, in which we want to recognise his scientific work, during the 18th century he dedicated his studies to the knowledge of the Sierra de Baza, of its botanical, zoological and geological values.
