Colegio Divino Maestro

Colegio Divino Maestro

Located in a historic neighbourhood, it stands out for its unique setting with caves and its history linked to the local community.
The Colegio Divino Maestro de Baza was founded in 1945. It thus became the first school of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Divine Master, a congregation founded by the then Bishop of Orense, Francisco Blanco Nájera, in the centre of the city, in the Plaza Mayor of Baza. However, in 1982, the Missionaries of the Divine Master decided to move their educational activity to the neighbourhood known as "Las Cuevas". The current building was built, and at that time, it served the most economically and socially disadvantaged population. Today, the Centre has a number of students close to 400. It offers a line in the stages of Infant Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education. It also has a Morning Classroom and a Dining Room service from Monday to Friday.
