Explore inhabited caves, historic fortresses and unique natural landscapes with rivers and fruit orchards, along with Mudejar and Moorish monuments.
BenamaurelThe layout of the town centre is given by a series of ravines on which the different neighbourhoods are located. It conserves an important historical heritage represented by numerous caves, an Almohad tower and the remains of a 14th century fortress. It is one of the municipalities with the highest density of inhabited caves in the region.Cortes de BazaThe town of Cortes de Baza is located on the banks of the river Castril, in an intermediate position between its source, in the heart of the Sierra de Castril Natural Park, and its mouth, in the Negratín reservoir. This privileged position makes it possible to enjoy a riverside landscape bathed by the cold waters of the river Castril and a cultural offer represented by the Church of the Incarnation (15th century) which preserves a polychrome coffered ceiling in the Mudejar style.CúllarCúllar is located in a lush valley rich in fruit trees, between the Sierra de Orce and Las Estancias. It has an important monumental heritage represented by an Arab military tower, next to which the hermitage of the Virgen de la Cabeza was built, located in the area of La Cora, on the outskirts of the town centre, the church of Santa Maria de la Anunciación from the 16th century and the Palace of the Marquises of Cadimo in the town centre. It is home to one of the most inhabited cave districts in the region.
