Ice cream parlours located in Plaza Eras, C/ Alhondiga and Parque de la Constitución, specialising in nougat and ice cream. On Easter Sunday ice creams are handed out to the children taking part in the procession.HistoryAround the beginning of March 1919 José Arques Coloma began to make the first ice creams in Baza, which he sold in the streets of the town in wooden carts pushed by hand, kept in metal containers and insulated with cork and thanks to the snow from our nearby Sierra de Baza.Years later, his son José Arques Mira took over the business and established the first Los Valencianos ice-cream parlour in calle Alhóndiga 8, from where he dedicated himself to making the traditional recipes for ice-creams, creams and slushies which he sold in his shop and distributed by means of bicycles with attached carts through the streets of our town, shouting "al rico chambi helado" (the rich ice-cream chambi).Around the 80's Javier Enrique Arques Llorens took over the management of the family business and gave it the definitive push by opening another of our establishments near the Alameda Park where you can enjoy the surroundings while having an ice cream on the terrace in the Plaza de las Eras. Nowadays the fourth generation of Javier Enrique Arques García follows in his father's footsteps, keeping the same recipes that have passed from generation to generation and trying to improve them and adapt them to the new demands of both the customer and the current health regulations.ProductsAt Helados y Turrones Los Valencianos we aim to satisfy our customers by maintaining our traditional ice creams with the latest novelties on the market and that is why in our ice cream parlours you will find a wide range of: Ice cream creams with our traditional flavours and a complete range of La Jijonenca ice creams that allow us to offer you more than 45 different flavours.
