Palace of the Páez de Espinosa (15th century)
Also known as the Palace of the Duke of Infantado. It dates from the 15th century and was the main house of Egas Páez de Espinosa, perpetual alderman of the city. It is perhaps the oldest Christian manor house in the city. Its external appearance is halfway between the medieval tower-houses and the urban palaces that began to appear in cities during this period. It is very mutilated although its first bay has been preserved, in which very interesting elements stand out with a rich Plateresque ornamentation, such as its main façade with a first body of ashlar masonry where its lintelled doorway opens under a single span. Also noteworthy is the composition of its north corner with the office window accessed from the entrance hall and the heraldry of its new owners, the Amoros-Lizcano family. On the first floor there is a large room covered by a Mudejar frame in a good state of conservation.
